Lesson 16 of 25

Why the order block 'almost' works

Price taps the block, gives a small reaction, then fails. That first reaction was the bait.

What you see
  • Small bounce off the block, then a roll through it.
  • A deeper untouched block sitting behind.
Why it happens
  • Blocks are one-shot — the orders inside get filled on the first tap.
  • Retapped blocks are hollow.
How to trade it
  • Prefer an unmitigated block.
  • Require a liquidity sweep into it.
  • Require higher-timeframe direction to agree.
Journal it: Log whether the block was fresh and whether a sweep came first.
Track this setup in your own journal and see whether it actually pays you.Go Pro
